Ornate Marks

Ornate Marks (★ Rare)

Category: Markings
Species: Skullcracker

....

  • Trait:
🔹 Winding, coiling markings mixing filigree, vines, and flowers are applied to your Skullcracker's coat.
🔹 Additional flourishes, dots, curls, and stand alone symbols may be added to complement the swirls, with more intricacy than the common  Simple Floral Markings.
🔹 This marking may be outlined or kept solid.

Calann Rings

Calann Rings (★ Rare)

Category: Markings
Species: Skullcracker

....

  • Trait:
🔹 Alternating rings of various thicknesses appear on a part of the Skullcrackers body. These rings are accompanied by spear-like lines cutting through, creating an elegant wheel that can circle various parts of the skullcracker's body.
🔹 The lines used within the design may be straight, jagged, or curl to create different effects within the wheel's chambers.
🔹 The spear heads may end in shapes other than the classic diamonds, and are limited in intricacy to the examples bellow:

Floraflor Crest

Floraflor Crest (★ Rare)

Category: Markings
Species: Skullcracker

The Floraflor Crest has a chance of appearing on skullcrackers who display the bravery their kind is known for during a battle, plight, or other dangerous event that would allow them to prove themselves. Within their society, Skullcrackers may take on an Oath, earning the Crest for their commitment. If the Oath is broken, the Crest wilts, and marks them for the rest of their days. The mark has a faint glow that brightens when a skullcracker uses their magic. The design is often shared across family members in some way with some lineages able to be traced based on some design motifs alone.

  • Trait:
    🔹 A delicate, flower-shaped-mark manifests on your Skullcracker's body.
🔹 The flower is intricate, often having vines, thorns, or filigree trailing from it.
🔹 The flower itself glows faintly at all times, with the glow becoming much stronger when a skullcracker uses magic.

❗ The trail extending from the flower must appear as though it's intended to connect or is connecting to the flower. If markings resemble Ornate Marks it will not require a second trait vial as long as it's a single string extending from the Crest and is not applied anywhere else on the body.

Like'Me'Knots

Like'Me'Knots (★ Rare)

Category: Markings
Species: Skullcracker

....

  • Trait:
🔹 A trail of flowers connected by a coiling, twisting line sweeps across your Skullcracker's coat.
🔹 Flowers may be similar or varied in design, with no limit to their coloration.
🔹 The "string" may loop, twist, curl, and have fraying ends, as well as appear to be knotted or tied into small bows in between blooms.

Sparkling Dots

Sparkling Dots (★ Rare)

Category: Markings
Species: Skullcracker

....

  • Trait:
🔹 Applies sparkles to your Skullcracker's coat
🔹 Sparkles may be White, Pastel, grey, or colorful, with 1 - 3 colors gradiented allowed.

❗ This trait is functionally the same as the Enchanted Sparkle Coat, but does not require an enchanted amulet to be applied to your Skullcracker.
❗ While multiple colors may be gradiented, please take care to avoid iridescence or "rainbow"- like color palettes.

Sol Mark

Sol Mark (★ Rare)

Category: Markings
Species: Skullcracker

One half of the sacred marks held by the ancients. The protectors of Skullcracker-kind, Sun and Lune, softly chase one another in a never ending cycle of  yearning, loss, and love. A tale taken differently by everyone who hears it, but what most seem to agree with is the mark being a gift from the celestial bodies. The blessing is debated; to soar the skies under Sol's protection? To combat the miasma better than others? To spread word of the celestial bodies?

What is known is that Skullcrackers bearing Sol's mark find rejuvination basking under the sun, finding energy they might lack elsewhere.

If two skullcrackers each wearing one of these symbols meet, they may feel the instinctual pull of a love that isn't theirs and may sometimes result in them pairing up with one another.

  • Trait:
🔹 A sun-like marking appears on the body surrounded by a circular, decorated ring.
🔹 The sun may be depicted as a circle surrounded by straight or curved spikes extending from it.
🔹 The surrounding line, or "ring" may have thorns, lines, diamonds, or other simple shapes. This ring often appears to mimic radiating light beams. These markings may also glow if wrapped around the main Sol mark.
🔹 Additional, smaller suns may be applied to the body on their own. The sun markings should always resemble drawn suns and cannot be stand-alone circles if they have the glowing property.

❗ The Sol mark glows most brightest in foggy or unnaturally darkened spaces (like the miasma), offering a dim "night light" glow at night.

Lune Mark

Lune Mark (★ Rare)

Category: Markings
Species: Skullcracker

One half of the sacred marks held by the ancients. The protectors of Skullcracker-kind, Sun and Lune, softly chase one another in a never ending cycle of  yearning, loss, and love. A tale taken differently by everyone who hears it, but what most seem to agree with is the mark being a gift from the celestial bodies. The blessing is debated; to soar the skies under Lune's protection? To combat the miasma better than others? To spread word of the celestial bodies?

What is known is that Skullcrackers bearing Lune's mark find comfort sitting out under the moonlight, finding a serenity they lack elsewhere.

If two skullcrackers each wearing one of these symbols meet, they may feel the instinctual pull of a love that isn't theirs and may sometimes result in them pairing up with one another.

  • Trait:
🔹 A crescent moon appears on the body surrounded by a circular, decorated ring.
🔹 The moon may appear in any of it's phases, often depicted as a crescent moon. The moon may have a darker outline or filled in color for the "dark" part of the moon.
🔹 The surrounding line, or "ring" may have thorns, lines, diamonds, or other simple shapes. This ring often appears to mimic radiating light beams. These markings may also glow if wrapped around the main Lune mark.
🔹 Additional, smaller crescent moons may be applied to the body on their own.  Circular shapes meant to stand in for a full moon may glow if paired with this trait.

❗ The Lune mark is the only moon that may have the ring surrounding it, but you may have scattered mini-moons elsewhere on the deisgn.
❗ The moon glows softly during the day, and brightly at night.
