Windswept Ruff (★ Uncommon)
A peculiar yet fashionable style of ruff composed of locks of fur that grow from the side of the neck and billow around in an impressive fashion. This messy chic style is very popular amongst the social crowd.
Trait:
- Fur may originate from any point on the neck and should curve heavily around the Pawb.
- The whole neck is covered by fur, and the ends stick up into the air naturally.
- Fur may be waist length at the longest.
- Fur may be straight, wavy, or lightly curled.
- Fur should not look evenly split.
- Fur should only move in one direction instead of splitting .
Low Collar Ruff (★ Uncommon)
A style of ruff composed of short, choppy fur that wraps around the bottom of the throat, appearing like a fur collar.
Trait:
- The collar wraps fully around the neck, but may have a notch or cut-out in the fur at any point.
- The fur itself may droop and be long enough to touch the shoulders.
- Fur may be straight, wavy, or lightly curled.
Crest Ruff (★ Uncommon)
A style of ruff composed of four thick locks of fur that blaze out in a perculiar, yet impressive display. Though widely accepted, no one really knows how the fur stays in place without styling.
Trait:
- 4 pieces of dense fur that expands out in a X formation of any kind.
- Fur may be straight, wavy, or lightly curled.
- Small pieces of fur may extend from the main four.
- Fur should not cover the back of the neck.
Gallant Ruff (★ Uncommon)
A luxurious style of Ruff that exudes elegance. A mane of beautiful fur cascades down the throat in a pleasing ripple of often wavy fur. This style is popular amongst the more social crowds.
Trait:
- The ruff grows longest towards the front of the neck while the back is naturally shorter.
- The top half of the neck is usually bare.
- Fur may be straight, wavy, or lightly curled.
- Fur may not grow longer than the hips for this style.
Faux Coat Ruff (★ Uncommon)
A style of ruff that gives the pawbird a commanding presence, with fur that lies heavily against the shoulders. This ruff was popularized by the more fashion-forward of the species, often matching their clothing to accentuate their lucious fur.
Trait:
- Fur grows densely along the shoulders and around the back of the neck, giving the illusion of a fur coat's lapels or hood trim.
- The fur may grow longer in the back down towards their mid-back as well as down the front to their waist.
- The throat should be kept bare.
- Fur may be straight, wavy, or lightly curled.
- Fur may not grow long along the shoulders past the example shown.
- Fur may not be depicted as hair-like in texture.
Pelt Ruff (★ Uncommon)
A style of ruff that is composed of thick and chunky fur that extends out into jagged, messy points. This ruff gives a wilder, more intimidating appearance to the Pawb.
Trait:
- Fur is usually messy and choppy, and can be a bit smaller or larger than pictured.
- The top portion of the throat is usually exposed, but may optionally also be covered in fur.
- Fur may be straight, wavy, or lightly curled
Tendrils Ruff (★ Rare)
A rare style of... ruff composed of a ring of appendages that are cool and squishy to the touch. These appendages wiggle, wobble, curl, and move around effortlessly along with the will or mood of the Pawbird that bears them. While peculiar to most land-dwellers, these ruffs call to a deeper part of Pawbirds; traits diluted through time cropping up every so often.
Trait:
- 5 - 10 tendrils appear around the pawbirds neck in a ring formation. These tendrils may cover the Pawbird's chest at the longest.
- Tendrils may be designed like any other part of the Pawb's body.
- Tendrils may end in sharp or soft points.
- There should be no seam (or line) between the ruff and the pawbirds neck.

Jester Ruff (★ Rare)
A rare style of ruff composed of the same material a Pawbird's unzipped arms are. A mixture of skin and cloth that drapes down their chest and back in a whimsical fashion. The tips of these "cloth" pieces have notches that can wiggle when the pawbird feels a particularly strong emotion.
Trait:
- A flat cloak shaped piece of flesh that covers the upper torso of the Pawbird. The cloak zigzags along the bottom edge.
- The front portion may reach the Pawbird's waist at the longest, while the back portion may drape down to their ankles.
- This ruff may be designed like any other part of the Pawb's body.
- There should be no seam (or line) between the ruff and the pawbirds neck.
Spiked Ruff (★ Rare)
A rare style of... ruff composed of spikes that grow directly from the Pawbird's neck. These spikes bear a similarity to the material some Pawbird horns are made of, and range from being soft and squishy to the touch to painfully sharp. This ruff is a popular look for the rowdier or artisticly inclined Pawbs, especially so in the musical circles.
Trait:
- Up to 20 or so spikes are scattered along the Pawbird's entire neck.
- These spikes may be gumdrop short or be double the length of the example.
- Spikes may be designed like any other part of the Pawb's body.
- Spikes may end in sharp or soft points.
- Spikes should be simple and not contain any extra prongs or thorns.
Alien Ruff (★ Rare)
A rare style of... ruff composed of several appendages that are cool and squishy to the touch. These appendages wiggle, wobble, curl, and move around effortlessly along with the will or mood of the Pawbird that bears them. While peculiar to most land-dwellers, these ruffs call to a deeper part of Pawbirds; traits diluted through time cropping up every so often.
Trait:
- 2 - 4 tendrils appear along the pawbirds neck. These tendrils may reach the pawbird's knees at the longest.
- 2 - 4 additional shorter tendrils appear along the back of the pawb's neck in a "mohawk" formation.
- Tendrils may be designed like any other part of the Pawb's body.
- Tendrils may end in sharp or soft points.
- Tendrils cannot have any spikes or protrusions along their length.
Hooded Ruff (★ Rare)
A rare style of ruff composed of the same material a Pawbird's unzipped arms are. A mixture of skin and cloth that wraps around their neck and hangs behind them like a hood. The ruff can be pulled up to wear like an actual hood, and often comes accented with two "ribbons" along the front that emulate the cord of a hood or cloak.
Trait:
- A flat piece of flesh that grows longer along the back in a "hood" shape. The hood may have a smooth, laced, jagged, or other simple decorative edge.
- The hood may be large enough to wear or be decorative and small. The hood is completely sealed along the bottom, and the hood can be used to hold objects with no issue.
- The hood may be designed like any other part of the Pawb's body.
- The hood wraps completely around the neck but leaves the entirety of the throat exposed. The front of the hood can be placed to make it feel "open" or "closed".
- The "ribbons" along the front can reach the pawbird's feet, but should be thin. They may be flat or rounded like cord.
- Ribbons should not appear to grow separately from the hood. They are one seamless piece.
Cloak Ruff (★ Rare)
A rare style of ruff composed of fine fur that grows well past a Parbird's rump, nearly reaching the floor! The ruff grows from the sides of the neck and along the shoulders and is often cut and styled to the Pawbird's preference!
Trait:
- Cloak may be straight or slightly wavy, but generally hangs heavy.
- Cloak may grow down to the ankles along the back, while the front may grow to the Pawbird's waist.
- You may design the fur the same way you would any other part of the Pawb.
- Cloak may not completely encompass the Pawbird's front.
- Cloak may not be cut to resemble another trait.

Tassel Ruff (★ Rare)
A rare style of ruff composed of two thick ribbons of hair that grow well past a Parbird's hips, capable of just dragging on the floor! The ruff grows from the back and sides of the neck and hang with a clear divide on the back of the neck. This hair is often tied or knotted and used as an accenting piece to various shirts, coats, vests, and the like!
Trait:
- Tassels may drag a little on the floor at the longest if loose, but should not touch the ground if braided or knotted.
- Tassels are composed of hair, and can be styled with that in mind.
- Should not be confused with the Cloak Ruff.

Ribbon Ruff (★ Rare)
A rare style of ruff composed of the same material a Pawbird's unzipped arms are. A mixture of skin and cloth that hangs down the back of the Pawb's shoulders. A popular style among many Pawbirds, able to be complemented with many clothing styles! Pawbs often attach large beads, tassels, or even piercings along the bottom portion. A few Pawbs sporting this pierced look say the ribbons have no sensation that far down.
Trait:
- Two flat shaped pieces of flesh that drape down a Pawbird's back. The tips of these ribbons may end in pointed, notched, flat, slanted, or rounded points.
- Ribbons may reach the Pawbird's ankles at the longest.
- Ribbons may be designed like any other part of the Pawb's body and can have some notches or cut-outs along any part of them.
- The ribbons grow from the upper shoulders on either side of the Pawbird's neck, leaving their throat and nape bare.
- Ribbons should not have ends or cut-outs that appear to look like iconagraphy (stars, hearts, etc).

Capelet Ruff (★ Rare)
A rare style of ruff composed of the same material a Pawbird's unzipped arms are. A mixture of skin and cloth that drapes along their chest in a charming fashion. The tips of these "cloth" pieces have notches that can wiggle and reach out towards whatever the pawbird's focus is. This ruff acts as a very limited pair of second arms.
Trait:
- A flat capelet shaped piece of flesh that has a sort of "paw" outline at the bottom. This outline may be smooth like depicted or have a classic toony, or jagged paw shape
- This capelet may reach the Pawbird's waist at the longest.
- The capelet may be designed like any other part of the Pawb's body.
- The capelet runs up the back of the neck but leaves the throat exposed.
- Capelet should not appear to look like actual arms or hands.
Poncho Ruff (★ Rare)
A rare style of ruff composed of the same material a Pawbird's unzipped arms are. A mixture of skin and cloth that drapes across their chest and down their back in a distinguished fashion. The poncho ruff is often complemented with silken robes, tabards, or loose flouncy shirts that can get tucked underneath the rim. More than a few scholarly Pawbs tend to sport this look.
Trait:
- A flat cape shaped piece of flesh that drapes across the front and back of a Pawbird, with the shoulders being fairly exposed.
- This ruff may reach the Pawbird's waist at the longest in the front, while the back may extend down to the Pawbird's ankles.
- The poncho isn't fully connected to the Pawbird's shoulders, chest, or back, so clothing straps, sleeves, and necklaces can be tucked under a good amount of it. The neck and collarbone area is where the ruff fuses properly.
- The poncho may be designed like any other part of the Pawb's body.
- The poncho runs up the back of the neck but leaves the throat exposed.
- Poncho should not have the paw tips that the capelet or jester ruff have. To apply those features you would require an additional rare trait vial to combine this ruff with another that properly sports them.
Pom Collar Ruff (★ Rare)
A rare style of ruff composed of the same material a Pawbird's unzipped arms are. A mixture of skin and cloth that drapes along their chest in a cute fashion. The tips of these "cloth" pieces end in points, tipped with a thick pom-pom that appears naturally.
Trait:
- A flat collar with draping points that end in pom poms that hang from either the front or back of the pawbird.
- This collar may reach the pawbird's knees at the longest.
- The collar may be designed like any other part of the Pawb's body.
- The collar wraps fully around the neck and may have cutouts along the top, leaving the majority of the neck fully exposed.
- Aside from the hanging portions, the collar should not protrude or be lose from any other part of the pawb's body (so the collar should not stick out and appear to come off the neck)
- If you would like to have dangling pom poms from both the front and back of the pawb, you would require two uses of this trait.
Flame Sigil (★ Common)
Pawbirds have a special relationship to their magic, a manifestation of their very souls that manifests as a runic sigil on their chests. These sigils come in many shapes and sizes, with their manifestation happening the moment a Pawbird comes into existance.
Flickering flames and wisps that burn as brightly as a pawbird's soul manifests physically, said to embody passion, anger, or ambition.

A strong and simple sigil, an unbroken shape that is whole and unblemished, said to embody confidence, reliability, and loyalty.

🔹 Any simple shape that does not fall into seasonal or higher rarities fall here. Usually circles, ovals, diamonds, squares, rectangles, and the like. These shapes may have sharp or rounded edges.

Simple Runic Sigil (★ Common)
Pawbirds have a special relationship to their magic, a manifestation of their very souls that manifests as a runic sigil on their chests. These sigils come in many shapes and sizes, with their manifestation happening the moment a Pawbird comes into existance.
A simple runic sigil, as through drawn from no more than two connecting brush strokes, said to embody empathy, uncertainty, creativity, and wonder.
