All Prompts

Maestro and Taiburn have requested aid on the sea! They don't require vessels to scour the ocean—as one of them points to their tails—but you do! As part of their request, they ask you to acquire a vessel fit for battle, so don't forget your flag!

"Ah! Worry not about the materials for this flag. My companion was helpful enough to lug a few bolts of our specialty fabric- you see we're famous for the practice of weaving thread from the-"

A sharp, gruff voice cuts the bab off, "Maestro." 

"AH, ahem.... of course! Fabric for your base, as well as paint, brushes, and even small gemstones if you'd like to get fancy~ All in all this will help us keep track of where you are! Think of it as a team logo~ But please make sure you use our fabric."

The shark pipes up again, "Or else we'll down your vessel for trespassing in a quarantined area."

"TAIBURN!" 

As the two bicker, you eventually line up to receive your materials and get a reiteration of the reasons for requiring this. The flag acts as admittance to the currently quarantined section of the sea and will help identify your vessel from underneath the waves. They offer cloth of various colors; if you look closely, you can see the strands glimmer gently under the sunlight. The design is up to you! Silly or cute, it does not matter. The material the two handed you seems highly visible from under the water. As you turn, there's a flag waving above in the same material, glittering against the sun. You notice it states "No Flag, No Entry."

Depict your Crederian making a flag for their vessel with their tools of choice! Flags often tell something about the person at the helm, so think about what you'd want to display to the world. Are you a classic skull and crossbones intimidator? Maybe a simple logo for the shop you have back in Lothain? If you can't decide why not fill each corner of the fabric?

♦ SPECIES |

In order to scour the seas, you'll need a vessel. Although you were given materials for your vessel flag, you are on your own finding a way to get a boat to sail. You noticed plenty of material on the beach side with scrap and raw components scattered throughout. There is an abundance of planks to build the base, some shells or stones for decoration, and plant matter for ropes! (You might even get away with stealing some supplies if you're sneaky enough!)

Depict your crederian scouring the beaches for materials!: Are they the sort to search for lumber first? A good structure makes for a strong vessel and the carpenters are at your beck and call for stripping and sawing the wood into workable pieces. Perhaps your Crederian is more preoccupied with the creative aspect; seeking shells, glass, husks from bugs or flowers for dyes, or whatever catches their fancy? 

If your Crederian is the sort to.. procure a ship instead of creating one, depict your crederian gathering tools for the job. Rope, hooks, and a sharp bite are good enough to do it (probably), so where do they start first?

♦ SPECIES |

You've worked tirelessly—cutting trees, gathering shells, weaving rope—even going into town once you realized there weren't nearly enough nails to keep it all together. Going into town, however, has bolstered your resolve for the trip you're about to embark on. Others have found themselves balking at the sheer amount of labor it takes to make such a vessel.

Windan offered its services once you received your quest—the local carpenters began with the frame. "We'll make sure she's ready fer the water, but don't think you're comin' outta this without carryin' yer weight!" the Crederian said gruffly before they burst out in laughter. "Jus' tryin' t' scare ya."

A few of the Crederians that accompanied you decided that building from scratch was too much work, suggesting a more... unsavory approach once the workers were out of earshot. Cut the line from one of the docked ships and attach your flag to sail off! Why do any work when you can "borrow" someone else's?

Your work is done! Depict your Crederian with their vessel! Whether they're on it, beside it, or gazing at it, let them be proud of their work!

Notes:

• Your vessel can be handcrafted (by yourself or with the help of the local carpenters) or stolen!.. I mean... borrowed from one of the Windan residents. (Visually this means your ship can be small, large, rough, sleek, or whatever you'd like it to be!)
